Jennie Vite, 98, of Kenosha passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Colonial Nursing and Rehab Center in Crown Point, IN. Born on October 2, 1920, in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Carmela (DeAngelo) De Chiara. As a child, her family moved to Kenosha where she attended local schools and graduated from Kenosha High School. For over 35 years Jennie worked as clerk of Courts at the Kenosha County Courthouse, in the Circuit Court Office until 1990. Jennie was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. She moved to Indiana in 2014 to be closer to her son and family. She is survived by her son, Charles (Barbara) Vite of Lowell, IN; one sister, Delores Phillips of Battle Creek, MN; her grandchildren, Kevin (Donna) Vite, Mari (David) Davis, Jeff (Jayne) Baker and Jeanette Baker; 11 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great grandchildren. Jennie was a very loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt to many nieces and nephews on both the De Chiara and Vite sides of the family. She will be greatly missed by all. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Tony and Frank “Deach” De Chiara; five sisters, Carmella Amendola, Yolanda “Dolly” Roscioli, Mary Zarletti, Amelia Potter and Angie Lehman. Also, by her grandson, Bob Baker. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 14th, at Our Lady of Mt.
