Dolores “Laurie” DeCesaro, 85, of Kenosha, passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2018, at Crossroads Care Center. Born in Kenosha on March 14, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Marie (Reinke) Reinsdorf. On June 14, 1952, she married Roy P. DeCesaro; he preceded her in death on October 15, 2010. Laurie was employed as a Key Puncher at Simmons and American Motors, but being a homemaker was her greatest passion. She enjoyed playing in her Poker Club, sewing, knitting, and crocheting baby bonnets and booties for newborns at the hospital. She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and St. Catherine’s Woman’s Auxiliary Club. Laurie is survived by her two children, Robert E. (Kim) DeCesaro of Kenosha and Karen (Dan) Schwabe of Antioch, IL; four grandchildren, Samantha and Rachel Schwabe, and Nicholas and Christopher DeCesaro; her sister, Bonnie (Tony) Hansen of Green Bay, WI, and her children, Brenna Dee and Brady Hansen which she adored; and her sister-in-law, Janet Reinsdorf of Quesnel, British Columbia. She is further survived by many other beloved family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Alvin Reinsdorf, Jr.; and other loving family. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 10th, at Proko Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery.
