We met by the internet in 2014, and we spoke by phone constantly up to 2018. I will miss his easy laugh and his JFK education. As for The Beatles we learned a lot from each other. We met head to head and toe to toe with our Beatles knowledge. Saying I miss him clearly doesn't cover it. Abby The Bass Player - Noblesville IN

very saddened to hear of Rick's passing. A fine fellow and inspiring intellectual who only wished for the best for all. We shall all miss his joy of the Beatles, the intrigues of the JFK tragedy, his profound sense of right and sportsmanship. His chess games will now have only the best possible move, and his joy and love shall be unbounded. Rest in peace my brother. Harvey Tidemann Bloomington MN

I knew Rick for many years. Although I didn’t know him extremely well, he was always kind and part of our Beatle family. I’d see him now and again, always with his shirt and tie on. He always had cd’s that he would share with everyone. May he Rest In Peace. Debbie Stifter- Waconia , Mn

So sad to hear of Rick's passing. Rick and I had many Beatles sessions making the perfect Beatles compilation. Rick was a student of the JFK assassination - he would go on about all of the theories all of the time. We would go to the record convention at the Thunderbird Hotel. The last convention we went to got busted and the police took everything I had purchased and Rick tried to take it back. He will be missed in the Beatles family from Minnesota. Rick I am forever Blue because of you. LOL

Sincere condolences to Rick's family. What can I say about a 42 year friendship? I first met Rick on June 4, 1976, I was 15 years old and it was before my first Paul McCartney concert. We kept in contact over the years and I met many of my best Beatle buddies through Rick. We are all so shocked and heart broken at his passing. Rick and I shared a great love of the Beatles and we would always get together at concerts, record conventions, art shows, gatherings of any kind that had anything to do with the Beatles. Rick was always sharing CDs with me. (And offering to organize my messy collection!) Rick was so knowledgeable and we could talk and listen to music for hours. So many memories. Rick you are missed. Please tell John Hi from "Blonde Brenda".
