I’m Tommy Wathen’s son. Bob and my Dad served together during World War II, including the occupation of Berlin, and stayed in touch over the many years. He just learned tonight of Bob’s passing. He said he’d been unable to reach Bob, so I did a search and found the obit. Dad wants Bob’s family to know he’s sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. Dad is 97 and having health issues of his own. He has very fond memories of his friendship with Bob.
