Ruth Marguerite Orth, 97, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 17, 2018, at Casa Del Mare Assisted Living. Born in Kenosha, WI, on April 2, 1921, she was the daughter of the late John and Angeline (LaJeunesse) Staricka. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, she was educated in local schools and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School. On July 31, 1943, she married George Orth at St. Vincent Catholic Church in Los Angeles, CA; he preceded her in death on April 19, 2008. Ruth was employed at Vincent-McCall and later at Thomas & McKinnon and also would volunteer at both Kenosha and St. Catherine’s Hospitals. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church and enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, computer games and trips to the casino. Survivors include her two children, Sandra (Jeffrey) Siemion of Kenosha, and Dennis (Linda) Orth of Yuma, AZ; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Darlene Anderson; two brothers, Robert and Donald Staricka; and a sister, Shirley Duteau. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 7th, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 4816 7th Avenue, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private at All Saints Cemetery.
