Shane R. Bodven, 39, of Kenosha, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 22, 2018, at his home. Born in Kenosha, on November 17, 1978, he was the son of Robert and Suzann (Bruns) Bodven. Shane was employed in Milwaukee, with UA Local 601 Pipeliner, Steamfitter/Pipefitter Hall. He loved all things fast; drag racing, cars, cummins, and most of all, motorcycles. Shane grew up in the “Bodven Garage” with his grandfather, “The Legend - Kawasaki Bob”. He enjoyed spending time with his family, cooking and snacking, and deer hunting in the solitude of the woods with his best friend, Brad Parise. Survivors include his fiancé, Erica Beiser; five children, Haley, Gavin, and Karalyne Bodven, and Tyler and McKenna Stanz; his father, Robert Bodven; his future mother-in-law, Danette Beiser; future brother-in-law, Josh Beiser; and his uncle, Jerry Bruns, who played a monumental part in Shane’s career as a union pipeliner and had the utmost respect for him as a welder. He is further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and an abundance of friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Suzann Bodven; his grandfather, Bob Bodven; and his grandma-ma, Carolyn Martell. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 28th, at Proko Funeral Home, from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Interment will be private.Proko Funeral Home & Crematory5111-60th StreetKenosha, WI 53144Phone: (262) 654-3533Visit & Sign Shane’s Online Memorial Book at:www.prokofuneralhome.com
