Barbara A. LaMothe, 77, of Kenosha, passed away on Monday, October 15, 2018, at Froedtert South-St. Catherine’s Medical Center Campus surrounded by her loving family. Born in Kenosha, on September 4, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Oliver and Claudia (Stefani) Gerber. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, she was educated in local schools. On July 21, 1962, she married Bernard LaMothe. Barbara was employed by Chrysler and worked on their assembly line. She was a longtime member of St. Luke’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. Barbara enjoyed learning about new things and went on to learn horticulture at Gateway Technical College. She also enjoyed playing the piano, drawing, cooking, and above all else, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Bernard; two children, Michelle LaMothe Wooden and Thomas (Bridget Robbins) LaMothe; six grandchildren, Rick (Sarah) Ferguson, Janelle Ferguson, Rachel Wooden, Jonathon LaMothe, Todd LaMothe, and Tayler Ann LaMothe; and five great-grandchildren, Jack, Alan, Luke, Brenna, and Abel. She is further survived by her sister, Valeri (Paul) Gerber Ivey; other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by two siblings, Jeanette Gerber Johnson and Richard Gerber.
