Benjamin G. Rodriguez, 85, formerly of Kenosha, late of San Antonio, TX, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 1, 2018, at his home. Born in Monclova, Coahuila, Mexico on January 1, 1933, he was the son of the late Manuel and Francisca (Garza) Rodriguez and was educated in the schools of Mexico. On December 29, 1950, he married Manuela Lopez in Mexico. Together they moved to Kenosha in 1955 and then relocated to San Antonio, TX, in 2000. Benjamin was employed as a section foreman with Chicago Northwestern Railroad, and, along with Manuela, owned and operated Tacos El Rey since 1982. He loved tending to his garden and kept his lawn in meticulous condition. Most of all, he enjoyed the time spent with his family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Manuela Rodriguez of San Antonio, TX; three daughters, Yolanda (George) Krueger of Kenosha, Sonia (Craig) Harris of Racine, and Tanya M. Rodriguez of San Antonio; a brother, David (Juanita) Rodriguez of Red Oak, TX; a sister, Ana Bernal of Kenosha; four grandchildren, Jeremy (Christina) Stump, Daniel (Lara) Krueger, Marissa (Jonathan) Hodapp, and Amanda Krueger; a step-granddaughter, Sarah Harris; and three great-grandchildren, Jackson Stump, and twins, Isabella and Catalina Stump. He was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters. My Condolences to you Mila and your Family. It was wonderfull working with you and benny back in the late 1980's. Those were cherished times. Benny always treated me with respect and made me feel like part of the family. He will be missed by many people. I will always remember his smile and humor that he used at work. Thank you Mila for all you did for me and others.. I am sorry for your loss. I could not make the viewing and service, but I will be praying for you and your family.God Bless you...
