Katrina Ann Ochranek

1982 ∼ 2018

Katrina A. Ochranek, 35, of Kenosha, passed away after a courageous battle with breast cancer on Friday, August 17, 2018, at Aurora Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 5, 1982, she was the daughter of Robert P. “Bob” Leto and Susan (Etlicher) Busse. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, she was educated in local schools. She then went on to graduate from UW Oshkosh with her nursing degree. On October 14, 2006, she married Christopher Paul Ochranek at St. Mary Catholic Church. Katrina worked as a nurse at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee. The compassionate care she showed to everyone around her will never be forgotten. She was beloved by all her co-workers and patients alike. She loved cooking and sharing her recipes, crocheting, spending summer vacations up north at the cabin and fishing, homeschooling her boys, and above all else, spending time with her family. She will be remembered for her contagious smile that lit each room she entered. Survivors include her husband, Chris Ochranek; two children, Caiden and Collin; her father, Robert “Bob” Leto; her mother and step-father, Susan and Michael Busse; and four siblings, Nicole Leto, Caitlin Busse, Ryan Busse, and Brittany Busse. She is further survived by other relatives, and many, many friends. She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Marlene Cline. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 23rd, at Proko Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A second visitation will take place on Friday, August 24th, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 7307-40th Avenue, from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow at St. George Cemetery.
