James Herbert Moore, 60, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, August 10, 2018. Jim was born in Jacksonville, FL, on January 31, 1958, the son of the late Harry L. Moore, Sr. and Carol A. (nee Gouran) Moore. He graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School in 1976 where he was proud to be a member of the baseball team that won the Southshore Conference. On May 19, 1979, he married Kimra Soronen in Kenosha, WI, and loved to tell people he knew her since kindergarten. He was a member of Northside Bible Church and was currently attending Holy Nativity and St. John’s Lutheran Churches. Jim always said that he couldn’t imagine living without his faith in God that brought him through the difficult times. Jim worked at Stainless Products Inc. from 1978-1988. He was a founding member of Elite Metal Finishing from 1988-2002, Stainless Process Solutions, Inc. from 2002-2008 and 4J International from 2008-2018. He was an accomplished business man and found great satisfaction in a job well done. Jim will be remembered as a kind, caring, generous person that deeply loved his family and friends. He cherished life and always said he was blessed in many ways. Whether on a road trip, by an ocean, in the mountains or fishing with his family on Bond Falls, Michigan, he enjoyed himself, but was always glad to return to the home and city he loved. Jim was creative, had a passion for art and known for his attention to detail. He could fix about anything and loved the challenge. He taught himself to make sushi, enjoyed canning spaghetti sauce and making homemade pizza. Jim was always excited to eat his first fresh garden tomato and would taste just about any food at least once. Jim is survived by his wife, Kimra Moore; his mother-in-law, Eleanor Soronen; siblings, Harry (Char) Moore and Cheryl (Steve) Grosinske; sisters and brothers-in-law, Cindy and Jim Jorgensen, Pam and Bill Fowler, Sheri and John Baumgarten, and Jeff (Cathy Clements) Soronen; and his special walking partner, Daisy. He is further survived by nieces and nephews, Gretchen (Nate) Jaschob, Zackary (Kerry) Grosinske, Adam (Charlotte) Grosinske, Patrick (Kellie O’Brien) Wickert, Kathrina (Micah) Montondo, Riika (Dean) Jones, Eric (Sara Parrish) Baumgarten, Ryan Soronen, Evan Soronen, and Cassi (Phil McCarraher) Baumgarten; and great nieces and nephews, Norman Jaschob, Otis Jaschob, Elias Grosinske, Parker Wickert, Molly Wickert, Harley Montondo, Didi Montondo, Christopher Montondo, Jordy Jones, Payton Baumgarten, Isabelle Baumgarten. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Patrick Lee Moore, his father-in-law, Roy F. Soronen, maternal and paternal grandparents, and many extended family members and friends. Jim wants you to know that he is not saying “Good-bye”, but “See you Soon”! A special thank you to Cancer Treatment Centers of America and Hospice Alliance for their amazing care and compassion and to the many family members and friends that made Jim’s life so happy! A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 18th, at Proko Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Jim has requested in lieu of flowers/plants, please consider a remembrance to someone in need, Hospice Alliance of Pleasant Prairie, WI, cancer research, or a charity of your choice.Proko Funeral Home & Crematory5111-60th StreetKenosha, WI 53144Phone: (262) 654-3533Visit & Sign Jim’s Online Memorial Book at:www.prokofuneralhome.com

Overdue in paying tribute bro one of my favorite people:He was righteous. His love for family, especially Kim, was unparalleled. His sense of humor was earthy. His friendship was hard earned but well worth it.His vast collection of stuff was History Channel worthy (The Jim and Kim Shows?)He was his own man.He will be missed by many.It was a privilege to have worked with and known Jim Moore. I first met Jim when we were both trying out for second base on the Bradford sophomore baseball team. Jim won the position due to his abilities fair and square. Now I could have held a grudge or felt animosity toward Jim, but I just could not.It was because of the person he was - even back in high school. I could almost sense he "felt bad" about being the starter. But that was Jim - kind, unassuming, & genuine. I could not help but to cheer for him.He was the same way when we did some mutual business during his time at Elite. He was a good guy who left many way too soon especially you Kim.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of Jim. He was certainly a warm and caring person that everyone should have had the privilege to meet. There will undoubtedly be a void in this world without him. A man that was well respected, articulate, and genuinely engaging to anyone that had the pleasure to know him. One must have a great deal of appreciation for a person that could figure out anything put before him and that was Jim in our eyes. Kim, we can't possibly feel or truly understand the depth of your pain and loss. We can only offer you our understanding, love, and compassion. Our heart aches for you and you have been in our thoughts. It is our hope that you find comfort in your faith and the support from your family and many loving friends. With the heaviest of hearts, all of our love Kim. - Jim and Cass
