Virginia Mildred Glasel, 93, of Pleasant Prairie, passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2018, at The Addison of Pleasant Prairie, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Mahnomen, MN, on April 27, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Otto and Eleanor Burggraf. On July 26, 1947, she married Le Roy Glasel in Lake Forest, IL. He preceded her in death on February 22, 2011. Virginia was a Registered Nurse and worked in hospitals, schools, and rehabilitation treatment facilities. She enjoyed shopping, collecting antiques, cross-stitching, along with cooking and baking for her family. She is survived by her four sons, Lee “Tom” (Sheryl) Glasel of Kenosha, Jamie (Stephanie) Glasel of Chino Valley, AZ, Jeff (Cathy) Glasel of Paris Township, and John (Cheryl) Glasel of Kansasville; seven grandchildren, Amy Steinsdorfer, Kerri (Christopher) Halberg, James (Madeline) Glasel, Jeffrey Glasel Jr., Tracy (Propie) Vassos, Joe (Jamie) Glasel, and Jennifer MacDonald; 12 great-grandchildren, Jon and Tyler Steinsdorfer, Jake, Hanna, Zoe, and Pyper Halberg, Tasia, Kali, and Lukas Vassos, and Evan, Emrie, and Isla Glasel. She is further survived by five siblings, Mary Ann Herko, Jo Ann Grimsrud, Herman and Bob Burggraf, and Becky Eckel. She was preceded in death by two sisters, her twin – Vivian Fritterer, and Dolores Luckow. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 9th, at Proko Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 noon.
