Delores Roberta Blackwelder

1936 ∼ 2018

Delores Roberta “Dee” Blackwelder, 81, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 12, 2018, at Brookside Care Center. Born in Kenosha on October 29, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Michele and Concetta (Caputo) Graziano. She was educated in local schools and was a 1954 graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School. She married Raymond Renick and they had a daughter together, Tamara. They later divorced. She then married Bill Blackwelder. He preceded her in death. For over 30 years, Dee lived in Citrus Heights, CA. There, she managed apartment units, exceeding 256 at a time, and received positive recognition for her hard work. She returned to Kenosha in 2004. Dee was a dedicated volunteer Friendly Visitor Caller for Kenosha Area Family and Aging Services and as a greeter at the Kenosha Museum. As a child, her family could not afford to get her an instrument, so Dee expressed her love of music by watching shows like Lawrence Welk and Dancing with the Stars. Survivors include her sister, Ida Johnson; a son-in-law, Steve Clark; a niece, Karen Pawlowski-Vincer; and many other special nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tamara Renick-Clark in May of 2010; three sisters, Julia Tenuta, Virginia Pawlowski, and Rose Mason; and six brothers, Dominick, Joseph, Anthony, Louis, Frank, and Robert Graziano. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 15th, at Proko Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 12:00 noon. Interment will take place at St. James Cemetery at a later date.Proko Funeral Home & Crematory5111-60th StreetKenosha, WI 53144Phone: (262) 654-3533Visit & Sign Dee’s Online Memorial Book at:www.prokofuneralhome.com
