Herbert Joseph Tizi

Herbert Joseph Tizi, 96, of Bellevue, NE, previously of Kenosha, passed away on Tuesday, June 26, 2018, at Nebraska Medicine Bellevue Hospital. Born in Kenosha on December 16, 1921, he was the son of the late Frank and Elvira (Stella) Tizi. On June 17, 1950, he married Shirley Alleman. She preceded him in death on June 22, 1992. Herb joined the US Army in 1941 and served in the Signal Corp during WWII until his honorable discharge in 1945. Following his service, he worked at Simmons Mattress Co. and the KYF. He was then employed at American Motors for 23 years, working as a supervisor and then later in the motor division, until his retirement in 1984. He was a diehard Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed going camping. More than anything else, Herb enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include his three children, David (Dorothy) Tizi, Kimberly Plummer, and Tammy (Joel) Johnson; eight grandchildren, Jane Ann (Scott), Juliette, Josh, Aaron, Tim (Stephanie), Heidi (Mike), Alison, and Ben (Megan); and six great-grandchildren, Kyle, Hayleigh, LilyAnn, Coen, Erna, and Sean.
