Blaine B. Allsopp, 84, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at Froedtert South-Kenosha Medical Center Campus. Born in Greenock, PA, on December 14, 1933, he was the son of the late Richard and Lillian (Nesbitt) Allsopp and was educated in the local schools. On September 6, 1958, he married Marlynn Bartels in McKeesport, PA. Together they moved to Kenosha in 1960. Blaine worked as a painter for many years for Pitts Decorating, retiring from the International Brotherhood of Painters and Allied Trades Local 934 in 1995. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and a former member of the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, and camping. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Marlynn Allsopp of Kenosha; three children, Cheryl (James Sr.) Warner of Kenosha, Marsha (Buddy) Ade of Kenosha, and William (Becky) Allsopp, Sr. of Wilmot; six grandchildren, James (fiancée Tina) Warner, Jr., Tanya (Joe) Koscinski, Michelle (Pat) Seitz, Samantha Ade, Andrew Allsopp, and William Allsopp, Jr.; and six great-grandchildren, Alexandria, Leah, Ian, Owen, Angel, and Jordan. He was preceded in death by five siblings. Blaine’s family would like to thank Dr. Noor, Dr. Mario Garretto, and all of the other caregivers he’s had throughout the years for all of the kind and compassionate care they gave him. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 22nd, at Proko Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and will continue on Saturday, June 23rd, at Fellowship Baptist Church, 1700-89th Street, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
