Alex Dickman, 13, of Kenosha, passed away suddenly on June 10, 2018, in a tragic plane crash in Green County, WI. Son of Melisa and Joel Dickman, Alex was born on November 30, 2004. He graduated from Whittier Elementary and was attending Lance Middle School. He was very proud of the debate medal he was recently awarded and gave it to his grandfather shortly before his death. We will all treasure that medal for many years to come. Alex was looking forward to learning to play the guitar that his dad had given him and was known for his love of Mountain Dew and video games. He knew more about insects and animals than the rest of us put together. He loved to quiz us on the subjects, so he could kindly tell us what we got wrong! Alex tragically perished alongside his grandmother, Colleen, mother, Lisa, and sister, Emmarose. His entire family is devastated by the loss and will miss his sweet nature, his awesomeness and his loving smile. We will miss our “Sugarman” for the rest of our days. Alex is survived by his father, Joel Dickman, grandfather, Frank Deininger; aunts Vicki (Howard) Moore, Cheryl Deininger and Calla (Joseph) Ricciardi; uncles Michael Deininger (Amanda Guerrero) and Curt (Becky) Deininger, and cousins Lindsey (Eric) Huberty, CJ (Emily) Ricciardi, Amy Ricciardi, Tony Ricciardi, Michelle Deininger, John Deininger, Jake Deininger and Samantha Deininger. Alex was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gerald J. Dickman and Joan Marie Dickman. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 15th, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Proko Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass honoring Colleen, Lisa, Alex and Emma will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 16th, at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church, 2020 91st Street. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Joel Dickman to establish a scholarship in Alex’s name would be appreciated by his father.Proko Funeral Home & Crematory5111-60th StreetKenosha, WI 53144Phone: (262) 654-3533Visit & Sign Alex’s Online Memorial Book at:www.prokofuneralhome.com

Words cannot express the sadness in our hearts of Alex's passing. My children, Reno and Madison, have gone to school with Alex since kindergarten at Whittier, and will really miss his sweet demeanor and bubbly personality. Madison said Alex made sure he said hello to her every day, no matter what, and Reno shared some classes with Alex. They will both miss not seeing him in the halls with his infectious smile and his cheery hello. Our hearts, thoughts, and prayers go out to the family. May you rest in peace, sweet Alex, along with your Mother, sister, and Grandmother. God Bless.
