Olivia Andrea, 85, of Kenosha, passed away on Thursday, 7 June 2018 at Froedtert South-Kenosha Medical Center Campus. Born on 18 September 1932, she was the daughter of Alessandro and Santina (Maolo) Butteri. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, she was educated at local schools. She received her bachelor's and master's degree at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. On 9 August 1952, she married Joseph Andrea at Holy Rosary Church in Kenosha. Olivia was a biology teacher at Lance Middle School for 12 years, and the coordinator of the math and science departments for the Kenosha Unified School District for 13 years. She was an amazing teacher who encouraged and inspired students, and she had a talent for making science come alive. She was devoted to her family, enjoying frequent gatherings and vacations with her children and grandchildren. She was an avid reader with a fondness for historical novels and Sherlock Holmes mysteries. She enjoyed a wide circle of friends and will be sorely missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sister Lina Haycraft. Survivors include her four children: Alex (Deborah Huskins) Andrea of Woodbury, Minnesota, Mary (Gregg) Kishline of Kenosha, Martin Andrea of Menomonee Falls, and Thomas (Alla) Andrea of Stuttgart, Germany. She has six grandchildren: Michael (Rebecca) Kishline of Kenosha, Carrie (Eric) Hildeman of Milwaukee, Alyssa Andrea (Takashi Hatta) of Osaka, Japan, Kellen Andrea of Minneapolis, and Daniella and Arthur Andrea of Stuttgart, Germany. She has one great-granddaughter, Evelyn Rose Kishline of Kenosha. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 12th at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. A visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Interment will be private.
