Santo (aka Sandy, aka Steven) Riva was born in Highland Park, Illinois on May 10, 1934, and passed away April 10, 2018, in Los Angeles where he has resided since 1961. He was raised in Kenosha, Wisconsin and eventually attended Missionaries of St. Charles-Scalabrinians Seminary in Illinois and on Staten Island, New York. He then attended Northwestern University and graduated from Marquette University with a double major in speech and philosophy. In 1961 Steve and his best friend, Frank Andreoli drove to California and settled in Hollywood. Steve pursued freelance photography and journalism while working for Warner Brothers and Universal Studios. He retired from his own business in 2016. Steve’s passions were his family and traveling the world. His most favorite thing in life was combining those pleasures and traveling with his family. He is survived by his wife, Mary of 51 years; three children: Lucia Riva Tremonti (Scott), Pia Riva Woessner (Tom), and Santo Riva (Maya); and six grandchildren: Kainoa and Athena Woessner, Giovanni and Atticus Tremonti, Xander and Lev Riva.He is also survived by his sister, Sina Paradise who resides in Kenosha.
