Kurt J. Illes, 62, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, March 20, 2018, at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, with his family by his side. He was born in Brockton, MA, on October 7, 1955, to the late Russell and Ellen (Woods) Illes. On July 18, 1987, he married Laurie Hensley at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Chicago. He moved to the Kenosha area in 2001 and was a parishioner of St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Pleasant Prairie, WI. Kurt worked as a lumber salesman for many years at Edward Hines Lumber Company. Kurt loved fishing, hiking, his boat, the Green Bay Packers, the Chicago Cubs and Indy Racing. The thing he loved most was spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Laurie (Hensley); daughters, Jamie (Bobby) and Rebecca (Joseph); sons, Kurt (Ann) and Kevin (Mercades); grandchildren, Heaven, Hope, Faith, Eithan, Dreu, Mya, Chase and Sophia Marie; and a great-grandson, Josiah. He is further survived by his siblings, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 24th, at Proko Funeral Home, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 Noon.
