Lina A. Guido

Lina A. Guido, 89, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at her residence. Born on July 3, 1928, in Marano Principato, a province of Cosenza, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Alessandro and Filomena (Ruffolo) Tenuta. On October 23, 1949, she married Francesco “Frank” Guido in Italy. In 1950, they moved to Argentina, and then made their home in Kenosha in 1954. He preceded her in death on May 27, 1978. During her lifetime, she worked part time at various jobs including Paielli's Bakery. Lina was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. Her family and faith were the center of her life. Cooking and baking for those she loved was what brought her the most joy. Surviving Lina are her four daughters, Mary Ellen (James) Martin, Joan (Thomas) Iorio, Silvana Guido, and Patricia (Mark) Naidicz, all of Kenosha; five grandchildren, Laura Martin, Stephanie (Mark) Reisenauer, Katherine Iorio, Luke (Mary) Naidicz, and Jordan (Calum) Mallace; four great-grandchildren, Harrison, Nathan, Cade, and Natalia Reisenauer; and two sisters-in-law, Grazia and Amalia Guido. She is further survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by a sister, Aide (Domenico) Ritacca; two brothers, Umile and Pietro (Rita) Tenuta; and in-laws, Carolina (Benedetto) Savaglio, Saveria (Giacomo) Ruffolo, Cesare Guido, Florinda (Pasquale) Chiappetta, and Emilio Guido. Lina’s family would like to give special thanks to Hospice Alliance, especially Amy, Elaine, and Pat, for the compassionate care they provided. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, March 17th, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 1919-54th Street, at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will be private. Silvana and family we extend our sympathy’s to you on mom’s passing. Sorry we could not attend the funeral but we’re lut of town. Lina was such a special neighbor and we missed her when she moved. She was a beautiful person inside and out.
