Primo Carmen “Chris” Metallo, 85, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 2, 2018, at Kenosha Senior Living. Born in Kenosha on February 1, 1933, he was the son of the late Ralph and Angeline (Turco) Metallo. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, he was educated in local schools and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor’s Degree. Chris proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force for four years, and then went on to serve in the U.S. Army for 19 years, both active duty and in the reserves. Chris worked as a labor relations consultant for the State of Illinois for several years. Survivors include his four siblings, Frank Metallo of Kenosha, William (Judie) Metallo of Kenosha, Roseanne Daniel of Roselle, IL, and Rita (Joe) Vena of Kenosha; along with several nieces and nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Peter, Ernie, and Emil; a sister, Louise; and his long-time companion, Marlene Migliaccio. Chris’ family would like to thank the staff at Kenosha Senior Living, Hospice Alliance, and especially Regina McVee, for the kind and compassionate care they gave him. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 6th, at Proko Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 7th, at Proko Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. followed by full military honors.
