William G. “Bill” McCormick, Jr., 77, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2018, at Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha. Born in Menominee, MI, on April 12, 1940, he was the son of the late William G. and Lucille (Bourdlais) McCormick, Sr. He grew up in Marinette, WI, and graduated from Catholic Central in 1958. He served in the United States Navy from 1958 until 1962 as a Beach Jumper and received the Good Conduct Medal. On September 6, 1969, he married Juanita “Nita” Settersten in Marinette. Bill relocated to Kenosha to work at American Motors Corporation in 1962. He later worked at Powerbrace at which Bill retired from in 2005 after working there for 35 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and enjoyed bowling, golfing, and watching football, especially the Green Bay Packers. He is survived by his wife, Nita McCormick of Mt. Pleasant; three children, Marianne (Allan) Johnson of Kenosha, Mike (Marie) McCormick of Mt. Pleasant, and Debbie (Joe) Vasquez of Racine; seven grandchildren, Rachel, Hailey, Logan, Gaby, Nick, Izzy, and Brooke; sisters-in-law, Sally McCormick of Union Grove and Rose Settersten of Marinette; brothers-in-law, Ronald Fischer of Marinette, Gary (Pat) Settersten of Janesville, Tyrone (Amber) Settersten of Kenosha, Richard (Diann) Settersten of Pleasant Prairie; a brother, Scott McCormick of Oregon; a step sister, Debra Sandy of Madison; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Robert McCormick and Richard McCormick; step-mother, Beverly McCormick; mother-in-law, Lillian Settersten; brothers-in-law Joel, Bradley, and sister-in-law, Sylvia. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 9th, at Our Lady of Mt.
