Dolores C. Zaionc, 95, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 5, 2018, at Hospice Alliance Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie. Born in Kenosha on September 11, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Mildred (Getschman) Burrington. She graduated from Kenosha High School in 1940 and from the Kenosha College of Commerce. On August 19, 1950, she married Charles Zaionc at Friedens Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death on November 8, 2003. Dolores was employed as a purchasing agent for Leonard Insurance Office and then Great Lakes Naval Base until her retirement after 37 years on December 22, 1978. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church. Dolores is survived by five nephews, Richard Pezdir, Michael Burrington, James Zaionc, Lawrence Zaionc, and William Zaionc; five nieces, Peggy Pezdir, Betty Lou Smith, Kathy Nicely, Sharen Jaeger, and Debbie Zaionc; and numerous great nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Anna Mae Pezdir; her brother, Elmer Burrington; and a niece, Sharon Zaionc. Services will be held for Dolores on Saturday, February 10th, at Bethany Lutheran Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Green Ridge Cemetery.
