Truma Oswalt, 95, of Kenosha, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2018. Born in Fulton, MS, on October 4, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Will and Normie (Jarrell) Beasley. Truma was employed by Coopers/Jockey International and Lablanc Music Instruments until her retirement. On November 8, 1947, she married Eulis Oswalt in Fulton. They moved to Kenosha in 1949. They were members at Fellowship Baptist Church. He preceded her in death on September 4, 2012. Truma will be remembered for her sweet, kind, caring, and loving soul. She was the textbook southern belle, and would always be seen smiling. She enjoyed cooking southern comfort food, most famous was her chicken and dumplings, which she made sure everyone had plenty of. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Surviving Truma is her daughter, Cindy (Randy) Brouwers of Union Grove; two grandsons, Adam (Clarissa) Zekor of Kenosha, and Nicholas Zekor of Florida; two great granddaughters, Brooke and Brynn Zekor; and a brother, Charles “Buck” Beasley. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 28th, at Proko Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Services will be held on Monday, January 29th, at Proko Funeral Home at 11:30 a.m. Interment will take place at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
