Fritz A. “Fred” Busche, 92, of Kenosha, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2018, at Sheridan Medical Complex. Born in Athens, WI, on January 20, 1926, he was the son of the late Fritz and Nora (Fromm) Busche. Following high school, Fred joined the US Army and served in WWII. He then was employed by Coca-Cola Bottling Company until his retirement in 1989. Fred enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, fishing, and woodworking. Surviving are his three children, Lynn Busche of Roswell, GA, Carol (Renner) Winston of LaQuinta, CA, and Jan (Andrew) Doetsch of Cumming, GA; four stepchildren, Sandi (Claude) Sommerville of Lake Havasu City, AZ, Scott (Debbie) DeKok of Milwaukee, WI, Phil (Cindy) DeKok of Dodgerville, WI, and Rhonda (Danny) Cerminera of Kenosha; eight step grandchildren; and special friend, Barbara Bullock. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Deloris DeKok; two sisters, Marion Plumb and June Lella; and a stepson, Rodger DeKok. A committal service will take place on Friday, February 2nd, at 12:00 Noon, at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 21731 Spring Street, in Union Grove, WI, with full military honors.
