Jeffery O. Liggett, 61, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully Friday, January 19, 2018, at Froedtert South-Kenosha Medical Center Campus. Born in Kenosha on December 30, 1956, he was the son of the late Orville and Dorothy (Seitz) Liggett. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, he was educated in local schools. Jeff was a kind and loving brother, uncle and friend. He loved Halloween, and volunteered for several years at the Kemper Center Haunted House. He excelled in his role as Dracula. He resided at the VOA Edwards House Group Home in Kenosha. He also spent many weekends and holidays with his sister Jan and brother-in-law Glen. Jeff worked at the Kenosha Achievement Center. He enjoyed bowling, swimming vacationing in the Dells, and participating in the Special Olympics. He also had a “Master’s Degree in Rugology.” Surviving are his two sisters, Janet (Glen) Van Kammen and Jeanne (Walter) Wrixton, both of Kenosha; a nephew, Joseph (Krystal) Wrixton of Racine; a niece, Clare (Robert) Young of Bristol; and two great-nephews, Parker and Jacob Young. He is further survived by many friends and other family members. P.S. from Jeff: “Your shoes are untied.” Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 23rd, at Proko Funeral Home from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 noon. Interment to follow at St. George Cemetery.
