Robert M. “Bob” Widmar, 87, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2018, at Brookside Care Center. Born in Kenosha on January 18, 1930, he was the son of the late Frank Sr. and Josephine (Klobuchar) Widmar. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, he was educated in local schools. On November 5, 1949, he married Lorraine C. Bauschelt at St. George Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on May 20, 2005. Bob worked at Dynamatic as a millwright for 38 ½ years. He belonged to the International Association of Machinists & Aerospace Workers for 50 years. His hobbies included fishing, hunting and watching his grandchildren play sports. He also enjoyed meeting his friends at Burger King to “solve” the world’s problems. Survivors include his three children, Steven (Cecilia) Widmar of Panama City, FL, Nancy (John Jacobs) Widmar of Kenosha, and Mark (Ann) Widmar of Racine; seven grandchildren, David (Michele) Widmar, Kelly Widmar, Misha Widmar, Jerry Widmar, Thomas Widmar, Maxwell Widmar, and Emma Widmar; three great-grandchildren, Presley, Dylan, and Aslyn Widmar; a sister, Connie (Butch) Richards of Sturtevant; and a brother, Jack Widmar of Kenosha. He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Widmar; and three brothers, Richard Widmar, Frank Widmar, and Edward Widmar. Bob’s family would like to thank Dr. Zeihen, Dr. Fullen, Hospice Alliance and Brookside Care Center for the kind and compassionate care that they gave him. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 18th, at Proko Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 5:00 p.m. Interment will be private at St. George Cemetery.
