Djuana "DJ" Latshaw, 53, died in a head on collision on Monday, January 1, 2018. She was born on November 9, 1964, to Howie Sr. and Lois (Wyma) Latshaw in Kenosha, WI. She attended local schools and was a 1982 graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School. After graduation, Djuana attended Racine School of Cosmetology, and worked as an assistant to the Optometrist at Shopko Department stores in Kenosha and Racine. For the past 15 years, Djuana has worked for the Kenosha Unified School District as a facilities employee. She was currently working at the Cesar E. Chavez Learning Station School. Djuana was active in softball her entire life. She most recently played for CD Warehouse and was currently managing Elissa's team. Every year she sponsored The Djuana Latshaw Jart Tournament at her home. She is survived by her father, Howie Latshaw Sr.; her brother, Howie Latshaw II, his wife, Michelle; and nephews, Jacob and Gauge Latshaw. She is also survived by her daughter, Elissa Lux Nyara, her son-in-law, Michael Nyara; her step granddaughter, Cami Nyara; beloved grandson, Parker Steinefast; and one grandchild on the way. Also by her special friend and love, Dave Badgerow, her Uncles, Aunts, cousins, hundreds of friends, and her little dog Louie. She was proceeded in death by her mother, Lois Latshaw. A Celebration of Life for Djuana will be held on Monday, January 8, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at Proko Funeral Home. Entombment at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park immediately following service. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 7th, from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Proko Funeral Home.
