Francesco Farfalla

Francesco “Frank” Farfalla, 85, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 1, 2018, at Hospice Alliance Hospice House, surrounded by his loving family, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Born in Sambiase, Italy, on September 24, 1932, he was the son of the late Nicola and Innocenza Farfalla. On June 26, 1955, he married Giovannina Vescio in Italy. The following year they moved to Kenosha to make their home. Frank was employed by American Brass and retired after 38 years. He also worked at Ruffalo Painting Company. His hobbies included gardening, hunting, and making his own sausage, cheese, and wine. Surviving Frank is his wife, Giovannina Farfalla; son, Nick (Kim) Farfalla; two daughters, Rose Farfalla and Kathy (Allen) Jeranek; four grandchildren, Matthew (Chrissy) Swartz, Natalie and Jacob Farfalla, and Peter Jeranek; two great-grandchildren, Frank Swartz and Leonardo Jeranek; and three siblings, Pietro Farfalla, Concetta DiAmico, and Rosalba Mastroianni. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews from Australia and Canada; other relatives; and many friends. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Gesualdo, Salvatore, and Pasquale Farfalla. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice Alliance for the compassionate care they provided Frank. Frank and his family was a huge part of my life growing up. He was my 2nd dad. In life you get a chance to see families that really provides for one another and with my family, I saw the same in his. My heart goes out to my true friend Nick, Rose, Kathy, Kim and Momma Farfalla. I miss Grandma too so much. Love
