Lucille Evelyn Holmes, 93, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 4, 2017, at Hospice Alliance Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie. Born in Millburn, IL, on June 24, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Bertha (Edmonds) Larsen. She attended Kenosha schools. On March 18, 1944, she married Thomas Holmes; he preceded her in death on March 9, 1983. She enjoyed knitting, gardening, farming and canning. Lucille is survived by her two daughters, Evelyn (Rollin) Pizzala of Kenosha and Joan (Edmund) Kuester of Fredonia, WI; six grandchildren, James Kuester, Jr., Thomas (Barb) Kuester, Tammy (Paul) Neiman, Christina (Yhvh Bantista) Pizzala, Jackie (Mike) LeClair and Elizabeth (John) Starzyk; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; one sister, Esther Wilson; and one brother, Joseph Larsen. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers and four sisters. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 9th, at Proko Funeral Home at 12:00 noon. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be private.
