Esther E. Rizzo, 98, of Kenosha, passed away November 30, 2017, at Casa Del Mare. Born on April 4, 1919, in the town of Markesan in Green Lake County, WI, she was the daughter of the late Gustave and Amelia Schwonek. She attended public schools in Kenosha. On May 11, 1940, at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, she was married to Emanuel “Manny” Rizzo. He preceded her in death on November 9, 2007. Esther was fully committed to her family and faith. Her kindness and unrelenting benevolence endeared her to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Esther was a homemaker and enjoyed being with family, especially during the holidays and making Italian pastries for Christmas. Esther worked various part time jobs throughout her life. She is survived by her two sons, Charles (Brenda) Rizzo of Kenosha and Kenneth (Connie) Rizzo of Oconomowoc, WI; four grandchildren, Frank (Justine) Rizzo, Charles Rizzo, Alicia Rizzo and Krista (Robert) Sanders; four great-grandchildren, Aaron, Brittany, Caitlyn and Analise; and nieces and nephews. Esther was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, Gustave Jr., Ralph, Arnold and Arthur; and sisters, Hilda, Greta and Clara. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, December 6th, at Proko Funeral Home at 9:15 a.m. Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. George Cemetery.
