Martha V. Zarletti, 86, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 3, 2017, at Brookside Care Center. Born in Sheboygan, WI, on April 8, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Steven and Carita (Dern) Knocke. She graduated from North High School in Sheboygan and also the Kenosha School for Practical Nursing on August 27, 1950. On September 13, 1952, she married Rudy Zarletti in Sheboygan. After receiving a State License for Practical Nurse on December 20, 1950, she began working at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital. After applying and taking exams for a license in the State of Washington, she was granted the license on November 30, 1951, with the intent to move to the State of Washington, but did not. She then applied for and obtained a State of Nevada license on June 6, 1952, and after marriage moved to Las Vegas, receiving a position at Victory Memorial Hospital. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary. She was involved with PTA, girl scouts, cub scouts, ceramic clubs and was among the first group in the Aerobic Swimming class at the KYF. Surviving is her husband, Rudy Zarletti of Kenosha; a son, Anthony (Susan) Zarletti of Kenosha; four daughters, Deborah J. (Dennis) Woodman of Canton, MI, Maria C. Rognstad of Beaver Dam, WI, Tina L. (Glen) Burchard of Ringgold, GA, and Lisa L. (John) Nielsen of Virginia Beach, VA; a sister, Cynthia Zimmermann of Sheboygan Falls, WI; ten grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She is further survived by a brother-in-law, Nello (Anna) Zarletti; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Elizabeth A. Rognstad; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Domenico and Maria Zarletti; brothers-in-law, Frank (Lena) Zarletti, Carlo (Florence) Zarletti, Vincent (Mary) Zarletti, and Marvin Zimmermann; and a sister-in-law, Angeline (Louis) Fabian. Martha’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Brookside Care Center for all the kind and compassionate care that they gave her. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 7th, at Proko Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 8th, starting with prayers at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at St. Mary Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum. Randy and MaryAnn Coleman offer our condolences to Rudy Zarletti and family for the passing of Martha Zarletti. We lived in Sheboygan from Feb. 1969 to Feb. 1972. Also we have a daughter living in Sugar Hill Georgia and pass Ringhold many times.
