Frances Ann Bazany, of Pleasant Prairie, WI, passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2017, at her residence in Pleasant Prairie, WI, at the age of 84. Born on September 21, 1933, in Fort Smith, AK, Fran was the eldest daughter of Cly and Mildred (Schuler) Armstrong. She married LeRoy F. Bazany on October 20, 1956, after meeting Lee in Fort Smith at a Valentine’s Day Dance for Servicemen that Lee and Fran attended while he was stationed there. Married 50 years, Fran was “Mom” to 6 children and 13 grandchildren whom she loved deeply. Fran’s life could be described as one of great joy and incredible pain that she lived and endured with an incredibly kind spirit and amazing grace. Fran’s smile and care for others was renowned and the stories of her caring nature were shared by those who were blessed to know her. A sweet and gentle woman, she was remarkable in her patience and compassion. Fran was a country girl, through and through and one of our fondest memories was of her holding her grandchildren on her lap and always taking their shoes and socks off because that was the way children should be. Fran never had an unkind word for anyone, but was a strong-willed woman in defense of those she loved and those who were mistreated. Fran will be sadly missed but greatly loved by her surviving children, Greg Bazany of Chanhassen, MN, Tim (Nancy) Bazany of Howell, MI, Kimberly (Dr. Charles) Pechous III of Kenosha, WI, and Kristin (Greg) Larsen of Kenosha, WI; daughters-in-law, Kerry Jude Bazany of Sycamore, IL, and Patty Bazany of Chanhassen, MN; sister-in-law, Barbara Luczak of Eagle River, WI; as well as 13 grandchildren, Cory Bazany and soon to be “Outlaw” Marcus Williams, Kelsey and Caeley Bazany, Elizabeth and Maggie Bazany, Melissa and Nicholas Bazany, Chuck, Will, Sam and Grace Pechous, and Madisyn and Grey Larsen. Mom was preceded in death by her husband, Lee; son, Mark; daughter, Karen; sister, Brenda McLaughlin; sister-in-law, Joyce Finnegan; brother-in-law, James Bazany and wife, Ann Bazany; and brother-in-law, James Luczak. A celebration of Fran’s life will be held in Kenosha, WI, and a time and date to be determined. Please contact family for specific information. Mass and committal will be held at St. John the Evangelist Church and Memorial Garden in Naples, FL, at a date to be determined. I knew Fran and Lee at the Dunes in Naples. Like me, they had moved from Bonita Beach Club. We were able to share both sorrow and joy with them. I know they lived a life of faith.May the God of all comfort wrap His arms around you all as you grieve. I know Fran's family meant the world to her.Sincerely,Kathy Arthur

We are deeply saddened to learn of Fran's passing. She was a marvelous friend and neighbor and will be remembered for all of our good times with her and Lee. Nothing can make up for the absence of someone we love and although she hadn't been neighbor a couple doors down for several years, we talked often and she will be always remain in our hearts. May the God who carries us in His strong arms from this life to our eternal life, carry your grief and bring you comfort. Would appreciate knowing when her internment will be in Naples.
