1947 ∼ 2017

Mary "Sue" Maxine Susan Heintz
Mary “Sue” Heintz, 70, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee. Born in Wausau, WI, on August 24, 1947, she was the daughter of the late James and Gertrude (Kujawski) Williams and she graduated from Merrill Senior High in 1965. On June 25, 1966, she married Larry Heintz in Merrill, WI, and they soon after moved to Kenosha, WI. Sue was employed at Piggly Wiggly since 1977 where she could be found working behind the customer service desk until her retirement. She was also the secretary of her husband’s company, LEH Trucking for over 30 years, as well as part owner of M&L Trucking. She was a valued player in Kenosha’s first woman’s fast pitch softball league for several different teams including; Oatsvall Transmission, Dick and Gloria’s Bar, and George’s Club Highview. In her leisure time, she enjoyed gardening, canning and baking. But most of all, Sue loved a good jigsaw puzzle, especially with a little help from her cat, Tommy, sprawled across the table, content to just lay by her as she patiently assembled the pieces around him. Surviving her is her husband, Larry Heintz of Kenosha; her two daughters, Tammy Heintz and Barbie Clarke, both of Kenosha; a sister, Betty (Carl) Uttech of Merrill, WI; and two grandchildren, Arianne Clarke and Tucker Clarke. She was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Heintz, and ten of her siblings, Ruth Stadler, Grace Beilke, Helen Banz, Harold, Ralph, Fred, William, Arthur, Henry, and Richard Williams. A memorial service for Sue will be held on Wednesday, October 11th. In 1971 my young family moved to Kenosha knowing no one. Thankfully kids played outside in those days so soon we met neighbors who became great friends, family really. We have lost our dear friend "Sue" after over our 46 years friendship. She was the Mom at whose house the kids gathered, didn't matter if she was canning or baking the kids came. So did we.So many treasured memories over the years of parties in the basement, vacations, camping trips, games at the kitchen table, long talks in the back yard.We will miss you "Sue" and wish you Peace.
