Giuseppina transitioned into heaven peacefully and surrounded by her family whom she loved dearly on Saturday, September 2, 2017, at United Hospital System-St. Catherine’s Medical Center Campus. Giuseppina was born on December 16, 1927, in Marano Principato, Cosenza, Italy, the daughter of the late Leopordo and Carmela Ricchio. She was united in marriage to Carmine Savaglio at in Marano Principato on December 31, 1945. She emigrated with her immediate family to Kenosha to join her mother and father and siblings on April 15, 1963. She was employed by Luigi’s Italian Pizza Restaurant for many years and she was famous for her Italian meatballs. Giuseppina is survived by her husband, Carmine Savaglio of Kenosha; her four children, Gina (Luigi) Aiello, Franca (Fedele Greco) Ianni, and Fred (Cinzia) Savaglio, all of Kenosha, and Tony (Dee Dee) Savaglio of Fort Lauderdale, FL; her grandchildren, Luigi Aiello, Frank (Hortensia) Aiello, Robert (Nancy) Aiello, Anna (Tim) Santelli, Theresa (Anthony) Robinson, Carmine (Natalie) Savaglio, Giuseppina Savaglio, Sophia Savaglio and Quinn Savaglio; and 14 great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by a sister Ada Ricchio, a brother Benny (Carmelina) Ricchio and many nephews and nieces. Giuseppina was a compassionate loving person; she cherished cooking for her family on Holidays and making traditional Italian dishes. She will be missed immensely.
