Carolyn Jean Zibell, 84, of Kenosha, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, August 16, 2017. Born on November 1, 1932, in Chicago, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Mildred (Johnson) Dick. She was raised in Chicago, and later moved to Woodstock, where she raised her 5 children. Carolyn moved to Door County with her husband, Bill, and later to Kenosha, to enjoy their retirement years. Carolyn attended Kelvyn Park High School, and West Suburban Nursing School. Carolyn enjoyed nursing both as a career and pastime as she worked at Sunset Manor and Woodstock Memorial Hospital in Woodstock, IL, and volunteered as camp nurse at Silver Birch Ranch in White Lake, WI. Many children were eternally impacted by Carolyn’s participation in the AWANA program at Woodstock Bible Church. Carolyn is survived by her five children, Karen (David) Klein of MO, William (Maryellen) of Antioch, IL, Walter (Robin) of Wauconda, IL, Wayne (Navi) of Chicago, and Kris (Tom) Engberg of Kenosha, WI; and “countless” grand and great-grand children.
