Gregory John Belanger, 58, of Kenosha, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, from complications after a long battle with cancer. Born in Waukegan, IL, on October 6, 1958, he was the son of John and Rita (Coloumbe) Belanger. He was raised in northern Illinois and moved to Kenosha in the late 1980’s. On October 9, 1999, he married Lori Cerne in Kenosha. Greg was a journeyman bricklayer with Local 20 in Zion, IL. Music was his passion. He was a very talented musician playing several different instruments, with his steel guitar and his 12 string Gibson being his two favorites. He was also an avid Green Bay Packer and Chicago Cub fan. Surviving Greg is his wife, Lori Belanger of Kenosha; three children, Timothy John Belanger of Colorado Springs, CO, Travis Gregory Belanger of Houston, TX, and Angelina Marie Grace Belanger of Kenosha; and his father, John Belanger of Kenosha. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rita Belanger; a daughter, Emily Rose Belanger; a son, Kyle Gregory Belanger; a sister, Denise A. Graves; and a brother, Steven Belanger. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 14th, at Proko Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 6:00 p.m. Interment will be held privately.
