Bernice Agnes Fedyzowski, 95, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 24, 2017, at Manor Care after a brief illness. Born on January 8, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Roman and Frances (Cebulski) Zebrowski in Chicago, IL. On May 23, 1942, she married John Fedyzkowski at St. Bronislava in Chicago, IL, he preceded her in death December 30, 1988. Bernice and John moved to the Kenosha area after the birth of their first child. Bernice was a homemaker and loved, most of all, to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She loved dogs, particularly her beloved Buddy. She enjoyed traveling with family and was an avid reader and gardener. Bernice worked outside of the home as well. During WWII, Bernice was an engineering aide in the ordnance department for the war effort. In Kenosha, she worked one of her favorite jobs, working at General Drug in Kenosha. Surviving Bernice are six of her seven children, Thomas Fedyzkowski of Murfreesboro, TN, Janice (Gary) Van Strien of Nekoosa, WI, Elaine (Joseph) Hyland of Bartlett, IL, Susan (Roger) Bemann of Oconomowoc, WI, Ralph Fedyzkowski of Kenosha, WI, and Carol (Brian) Boehm of Pleasant Prairie, WI; seven grandchildren, Karin (Randy), Andrew (Christa), Cathleen (Matthew), Amber (Shawn), Travis, Meredith (Scot) and John; and three great-grandchildren, Steven, Alyssa, and Cameron. Preceded in death by a daughter, Leslie Fedyzkowski; and her siblings, Romualda, William, Eugenia, Walter, John, Henry, Anna, and Peter. The family would like to extend a special thank you to her caregivers, Terri, Cyndi, Ann, and the excellent staff at Manor Care. A prayer service will be at Proko Funeral Home at 9:15 a.m. prior to the Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 30th, at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church, 2020 91st Street Kenosha, WI 53143, at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 29th, at Proko Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery.
