Rexanna “Rexy” Adasiak, 61, of Kenosha, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Waukegan, IL, on June 2, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Winfred and Kathryn (Bautch) Smallwood. Rexy grew up in Kenosha and was educated in local schools. In November of 1990, she married Zenon “Jim” Adasiak. He preceded her in death in 1992. Rexy was formerly employed with the American Brass and Motorola and was a member of several local pool leagues. Surviving is her daughter, Melissa (Brian) Maxcy of Kenosha; two brothers, Rex “Ricky” Smallwood and Jackie (Linda) Smallwood, both of Kenosha; three sisters, Denise Hoff of Kenosha, Bonita (Todd) Haber of Racine, and Penny Holcomb of Alabama; and two grandchildren, Alyssa (Aaron) Kinney and Zenon Maxcy. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a brother, James “Jimmy” Smallwood. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 1st, at Proko Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery.
