Caterina Travanti Perlich, 90, of Kenosha, passed away Friday, April 14, 2017, at United Hospital System-Kenosha Medical Center Campus surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 1, 1927, in Comunanza, Provence of Ascoli Piceno, Italy, to the late Luigi and Mariarosa (Tesorati) Travanti. Caterina resided in Italy until coming to Kenosha in 1962. On January 24, 1964, she married Milo E. Perlich at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on July 18, 1968. Caterina was employed by Jockey International as a seamstress. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and the Ladies Society. She enjoyed gardening, working with her flowers and cooking. Caterina also loved spending time with her pet cats, Lily and Tiger. She is survived by her two nephews, Antonio “Tony” (Giuliana) Casalena and Domenico “Dominic” (Ersilia) Casalena, both of Kenosha; a niece, Lucia “Lucy” (Roy) Inclan of Kenosha; and seventeen nieces and nephews in Italy. Caterina is preceded in death by her husband; parents; a sister, Emma Casalena of Kenosha; a niece, Maria Concetta (Vincenzo) Schiavi; a nephew, Alfredo (Kim) Casalena of Kenosha; and five brothers, two sisters and two nieces in Italy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 25th, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
