John W. Sarocka, Jr., 80, of Kenosha, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2017, at Kenosha Estates Rehab and Care Center with his family by his side. Born in Waukegan, IL, on July 20, 1936, he was the son of the late John Sr. and Dominica (Martino) Sarocka. He served in the US Army and was employed with ITT Corporation. On May 5, 1962, he married Susan Edwards at the Church of St. Patrick in Wadsworth, IL. John was a member at St. Anne Catholic Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Surviving are his wife, Susan; six children, Mike Sarocka, Cheryl Dziak, Debra Sarocka, Michelle (Tim Brandt) Sarocka, Joe (Jan) Sarocka, and Steven (Dominique) Sarocka; nine grandchildren, Nicole (Luke) Faulkner, Brian, Kelsey, Paige, Dominique, Chloe, Gianna, Brent, and Giovanni; three great-grandchildren, Jack, Oliver, and Kara; and a brother, Richard (Carol) Sarocka. Many cousins, nieces, nephews, other family, and friends further survive him. He was preceded in death by their daughter, Mary Elizabeth Sarocka. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 6th, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 9091 Prairie Ridge Blvd, Pleasant Prairie, WI 53158, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville, IL.
