Evelyn Carol Jackson
Evelyn (Lupi) Jackson, 68, known to many as “Evie” died peacefully at her home in Kenosha, WI, on Tuesday, March 14, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Born on December 25, 1948, to Anthony “Tony” and Joyce (Huck) Lupi, she attended local schools. On September 28, 1968, she was married to James W. Jackson. She always tried to have plenty of time with her family and friends. She loved being around them all. She loved to cook and having friends and family over. But most of all she loved her family and God. She tried to dedicate each day unselfishly to her family and friends. In 1968, James and Evelyn moved to Red Bay, AL, were they made their first home “Their Little Sugar Shack.” As bad as it was, she had many wonderful and happy memories of their Little Love Nest. In 1969, James and Evelyn moved back to Kenosha, where James could find a good paying job at American Motors/Chrysler Corp., to raise their family until his retirement. Evelyn worked for many places in Kenosha. In 1998, she retired from Brookside Center due to her health. She had many happy memories there and missed her job and co-workers, they were a big part of her life, they were family. Evelyn was preceded in death by her father, Anthony “Tony” Lupi; son, Paul Jackson; father-in-law, Velois Jackson; sisters-in-law, Roberta Lupi and Debbie Jackson; brothers-in-law, James Wilemon and Junior Jackson; and also great-nephew, baby Jasper Rigual. Richard Sweeney, was a big part of her life and a dear friend. They are very much missed. Evelyn is survived by her dear husband, James W. Jackson and they were blessed with three living sons, Earl L. (Peggy), Jerry W. and Scott A. Jackson and their families. Her mother Joyce (Huck) Lupi and three brothers, William (Bill), Jack (Toni) and Eugene (Julie) Lupi. Her extended family of eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Evelyn comes from a very large loving family like many dear aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, nephews, nieces and dear friends, sadly there are too many to name. Evelyn will miss them all deeply and hope they have wonderful memories of her. Please no sadness or hurt feelings, she is at a peaceful place now. Please send your tears and prayers to her loving family and friends. She’ll be looking down on all of you with a big smile, saying “Darn, didn’t we all have lots of fun back then!” A special thanks goes out to her loving family and their devotion being care givers; her wonderful neighbors; friends she enjoyed over many years. She would like to express her heartfelt thanks to her doctors, Dr. Neil Shelper, Dr. Malik Bandealy and their entire staff, hospitals and most of all Hospice Alliance and their entire staff, for their help and support in caring for her needs. We are truly grateful and blessed for all the families and friends that gave us support and comfort at this difficult time in our lives.
