Karen Weiher

Karen "Jean" Weiher, 75, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at Pinecrest Nursing Home in Powers, Michigan. Born in Illinois on April 29, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Gene and Margaret (Hopperstead) Christensen. She married George John Weiher in 1959. They resided in Kenosha, WI. Karen retired from American Motors. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, enjoyed crossword puzzles and spending time with her great-grandchildren. She also loved the Cubs. She is survived by a son, Craig (Kathy) Weiher of Craig, CO; a daughter, Darcy (Joe) Slayton of Peshtigo, WI; a brother, Richard Glenn (Nancy) Christensen of Niagra, WI; a sister-in-law, Connie Gailbraith of Kenosha, WI; her granddaughters, Stephanie (Ryan) Lenz of Green Bay, WI, Nicole Slayton of Green Bay, WI, Amber (Jeremy) Fournier of Burns, Oregon, and Katelyn Weiher of Marquette, Michigan; her grandson, Joseph Slayton of Peshtigo, WI; and her five great-grandchildren, Carter, Julianna, Aaliyah, Aria and James. She is preceded in death by her husband, George; her parents, Gene and Margaret Christensen; and a son, Jeffrey.
