Louis C. Perri, 69, of Kenosha, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 5, 2017, at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. Born in Kenosha on June 20, 1947, he was the son of the late Samuel N. and Mary F. (Noto) Perri. A lifelong Kenosha resident, he was educated in local schools. He was honorably discharged from the United States Army Reserves. Louis served the city of Kenosha as a police officer for 31 years, retiring as a detective in 2005. On September 26, 1975, he was united in marriage to Christine Zimmermann at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Racine. Louis was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. He also enjoyed participating in the many clubs he was involved in, which included the Kenosha Stamp and Cover Club, American Philatelic Society, Legends Car Club, Kenosha Professional Police Association, and the Chicago Northwestern Association. His hobbies included landscaping, his 1967 Chevelle, and being an avid Civil War buff. Louis is survived by his wife, Christine Perri of Kenosha; son, Michael Perri; daughter, Megan (Roman Murawski) Perri; grandchildren, Hailey Radusin and Leonardo Perri; a sister, Charlene (John) Sacket; nephew and godson, Sam Sacket; sister-in-law, Linda (Jack) Swanson, of Racine; and good friend, Nello Christiano. He is further survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and his beloved dogs. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 10th, at Proko Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 11th, at Proko Funeral Home at 9:15 a.m. Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Lou was a fountain of knowledge. It was always interesting to listen to Lou at the Legends meetings. We will miss Lou and fellow Legend Pete Ploskee. Both gone this week. Condolences to the family.
