Theresa M. Organist, 88, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Brookdale Assisted Living. Born in Kenosha on May 19, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth (Surprise) LeMay. A lifelong Kenosha resident, she was educated in local schools. On December 26, 1946, she was united in marriage to Gerald E. “Jerry” Organist at St. James Church. He preceded her in death March 11, 2009. Theresa enjoyed cooking, taking care of her house and yard, and playing cards, especially pinochle. She was very family orientated and loved spending time with them above all. Theresa is survived by her daughter, Diane (Harvey) Sabin; a grandson, Douglas Sabin; a great-granddaughter, Amber Sabin; and a great-great grandson, Isaac Cochran. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Lloyd, Harold, Lyle, Leonard, and Bernard LeMay; and three sisters, Dorothy Hickey, Idella Reno, and Margaret LeMay. Theresa’s family would like to thank the head nurse, Sally, as well as the rest of the staff at Brookdale Assisted Living of Pleasant Prairie for all the wonderful care and devotion that they gave her.
