Castulo “Loy” E. Cabili, 84, of Pleasant Prairie, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in the Sta. Ana, Tagaloan, Mis. Oriental, Philippines, on March 26, 1932, he was the son of the late Juan and Faustina (Emata) Cabili. He was educated in the schools of the Philippines. On January 23, 1957, he married Mercedes Sta. Maria at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Grace Park, Caloocan. They moved to North Chicago in 1972 and to the Kenosha area in 1976. Castulo was employed by Abbott Laboratories until his retirement. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society. He enjoyed bowling, watching all sports on television, and playing tile games with his grandchildren. Castulo is survived by his loving wife, Mercedes Cabili of Pleasant Prairie; three children, Wilfredo Cabili, Sr. of the Philippines, Teodoro (Tamara) Cabili of Racine, and Cristina (William) Reum of Milwaukee; 11 grandchildren, Wilfredo Cabili, Jr., Christian Bobadilla, Joseph Cabili, Catherine Bobadilla, Alex Reum, Joshua Cabili, Ashley Reum, Alyssa Reum, and three more in the Philippines; and five great-grandchildren, Teresa, Elycia, Asia, Sophia, and Maya. He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Lualhati Sta. Maria “Chuchi” Cabili on November 15, 2015; two step brothers, Juan and Marcelo; and two step sisters, Rebecca and Titay. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 8th, at St. James Catholic Church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery.
