Cecilia M. Marescalco, 83, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 25, 2017, at her home. Born in Pound, WI, on December 9, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Agnes (Dura) Darga. She was educated in the schools of Pound and received her Bachelor’s Degree from UW-Oshkosh. She moved to Kenosha in 1963. On April 19, 1965, she married Robert Marescalco in Racine, WI. He preceded her in death September 17, 1978. Cecilia was employed as an elementary reading specialist with KUSD for 35 years. She was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Taws and Paws Square Dancing Club of Kenosha. She loved being a teacher and enjoyed going camping and knitting. She is survived by her five children, Bobette Hamilton, Marla (Larry) Raith, Paul Marescalco, and Kathleen Marescalco, all of Kenosha, and Mark (Wendy) Marescalco of Burlington; two sisters, Agatha Fendrick of Pound, WI, and Elizabeth Stadler of Green Bay, WI; three brothers, Ray (Rosanne) Darga, Joe (Barb) Darga, and John (Judy) Darga, all of Pound, WI; 14 grandchildren, Joe, Denelle, Amanda, Peter, Bob, Zak, Josh, Haylee, Angela, Robert, Brandon, Michael, Clayton, and Carl; and nine great-grandchildren, with three more on the way. She was preceded in death by her son, Pete Maresclaco; a brother, Finnian Darga; and three sisters, Mary Fendryck, Martha Boerschinger, and Anna Boerschinger.
