Paolino Scozzaro, 101, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 23, 2017, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born on August 2, 1915 in Jefferson County, AL, he was the son of the late Onofrio and Giovanna (Iennazzo) Scozzaro. On July 2, 1939, he married Concetta R. Talarico in Italy. In 1961, they moved to Kenosha. She preceded him in death on April 8, 2000. Paolino was employed by Warwick in Zion and later Frost Manufacturing Company until his retirement. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and the Italian American Club. He enjoyed gardening, riding his bike and walking. Paolino is survived by his five children, Salvatore, John (Carolina), Maria, and Felice (Denise) Scozzaro, all of Kenosha and Elena (Gary) Gouin of Cary, NC; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers; three sisters; and a daughter-in-law, Vittoria Scozzaro. Paolino’s family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Hospice Alliance for all the kind and compassionate care they gave him. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 28th, at the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow All Saints Mausoleum.
