Lois Joy Seymour Wilson (nee Hangebrauck), passed away on February 14, 2017, surrounded by the majority of her loving family. Lois was a lifelong Waukegan resident. While family and friends left the city she was raised in, she remained there, raised her family as a divorced single mother of four sons. She has stayed in this home, where her sons made so many improvements. She was able to support her family as a result of her 43 year career at Chicago Title where she retired as an Assistant Vice President. In addition she worked 22 years at the Genesee and Academy Theaters as bookkeeper. She was active with the Affiliate Committee of the Lake County Board of Realtors. Lois met her second husband, Harry Wilson in 1982, expanding her family, and gaining her beloved first daughter and their family. Her greatest accomplishment and joy of her life always was her family. Her family gave her the most love and happiness. The loss of her two youngest sons, Douglas and Kevin, devastated her and she never ever recovered from that loss, or the loss of other family members. She is survived by her sons, Michael Seymour and Stephen (Betty aka Sue) Seymour; daughter-in-law, Robin Seymour; and a beloved step daughter, Pam (John) Weber. Lois was blessed with 12 grandchildren, Dennis Johnson, Steve (Angie) Seymour, Tracy Favor, Kelly Seymour, Julia Zalubowski, Angela (Ramon) Moreno, Brian Seymour, Kim Seymour, Devin Seymour, Jordan Seymour, Grayson Seymour and Jessica Seymour. She enjoyed 13 great-grandchildren, Olivia, Gabi, Jaleigh, Gabriella, Nicholas, Allexis, Samantha, Maya, Aaron, Evan, Charlie, Rachel, and Joel. She is also survived by her brother, Cal (Sammye) Hangebrauck; and many extremely special nieces and nephews, including Ken, Kathy, Larry and Vicki Rundquist, Linda (Hugo) Paar, Sharon and Chuck Lowrance, Don (Victoria) Wilson and Karen Brauck. One special first cousin, Jan Boettle and her closest friends Karen Hansen, Elmer Knoll, Tina and Cliff Nighsonger, Elaine Grant, Judy Laukauskas, Judy March, and ElderCare representative Janine Zarembay. She was preceded in death by her parents, Del and Esther Hangebrauck; her first husband, Robert Seymour; a loving companion, Michael Rosko Jr.; her second husband, Harry Wilson; sons, Douglas Seymour and Kevin Seymour; daughters-in-law, Karen Seymour and Dianne Seymour; and her beloved sister, Pearl Rundquist; brother-in-law, Walter Rundquist; brother, Cliff Brauck; and her four lifelong friends, Jackie Henderson Cash, Mary Lou Knoll, Lucy Clark and Joyce Servais. At her request, there will be no service or visitation. Lois wants to thank those who stayed in touch, visited, and sent flowers when she could enjoy them. Especially the visits. You can bet that there is a huge party going on in heaven right now and that your Mom is laughing and dancing and having the best time of her life. As a fellow dog lover I'll be sending a donation to Save-a Pet in your Mom's name. You Mom passed away on my Mom's birthday- two sweethearts. We are really lucky to have had these strong women for our mothers. God picked them for us just right.
