Susan “Sue” Puntillo, 102, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 15, 1915, in Kenosha, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Raffaela (Ethel Buterra) Mancusi. She attended Bain Elementary School and Washington Jr. High School. On June 1, 1935, she was united in marriage to Sam (Salvatore) Puntillo at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary of Pompeii Catholic Church. Sam preceded her in death on December 19, 1993. Susan was a lifetime member of Holy Rosary Church, past member of the church’s Altar and Rosary Society, Ladies Choir, Bible Study Club, an officer on the Holy Rosary Home and School, and of the Italian American Women Auxiliary. She loved working in the yard and attending her flower beds. Her lawn had to be cut in a very special way. It was manicured to look like the grass on the golf course. Her hobbies were raising African violets, knitting, crocheting, upholstering furniture, sewing drapes, bedspreads, and clothing. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Ann (Emil) Passarelli and Sister Lucille Ann Puntillo, F.S.S.J.; daughter-in-law, Yvonne (James) Puntillo; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Mancusi; grandchildren, Susanna (Kevin) Elrod, Joseph Passarelli, Michele Puntillo, Rosemarie (Edward) Habel, and Christina Rohm; and five great-grandchildren, Steven and Christopher Elrod, Sofia Habel, Addisyn and Brynna Rohm. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Angelo "Don", Constantine "Costi", Fred, and Ralph; her sisters, Caroline Sesto and Jeanette Aceto; two sons, Charles and James; and one grandson, Michael Passarelli. Sue’s family would like to thank the staff of Season’s Hospice and Society’s Assests for all of the kind and compassionate care that they gave her. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 28th, from Proko Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary of Pompeii Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum.
