Sandra L. Altergott, 79, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at United Hospital System-Kenosha Medical Center Campus. Born on March 22, 1937, in Racine, she was the daughter of the late William “Bud” and Evah (McCabe) Wadewitz, II. They moved to Kenosha when she was a teenager. On March 2, 1954, she married the love of her life, Ronald B. Altergott at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church. Sandra was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church and formerly the Women of the Moose. She loved her pets and enjoyed boating and camping for many years. She also enjoyed reading, playing games and doing puzzles on the computer. She is survived by her loving husband, Ronald B. Altergott of Kenosha; two sons, William Altergott and Bruce Allen (Debbie) Altergott, both of Kenosha; three daughters, Pamela (Keith) Brothen, Tina (Ron) Tritt and Tammy (Ray) Morgan, all of Kenosha; nine grandchildren, Heather, Shannon (Christian), Jonathan (Katie), Bryan, Megan, Karah (Yvonny), Matthew, Cody and Jake; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Donald (Laura) Wadewitz, Jimmy Wadewitz, and William “Buddy” Wadewitz, III; and a sister, Janine (Kurt) Schaarschmidt. Sandra was preceded in death by her father, William Wadewitz, II; her mother and step father, Evah and Irving G. Moe; and two brothers, Randy Wadewitz and George Wadewitz. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 14th, at Proko Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 5:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
